What does the Campaign Support?
To meet the rapidly expanding health care needs of our community, The Washington
Hospital is embarking on a $64 million expansion and renovation project that
will dramatically expand our ability to serve the growing needs of our community.
What is the Goal of the Campaign?
To support this expansion project, The Washington Hospital Foundation is conducting
a $9,000,000 capital campaign, Building on Our Promise.
Who is Leading the Campaign?
This campaign is being led by co-chairmen, Ralph B. Andy, John A. Campbell and
E. Ronald Salvitti, M.D. Each of these men has already made generous commitments
to the campaign and has inspired the support of many others.
Why is This So Important?
While the current plans are ambitious, they are necessary in order for our community
to continue to receive the quality healthcare that they deserve.
There are stories nationally and in Western Pennsylvania of patients being
treated in ambulances in hospital parking lots because they can’t
be moved into emergency rooms due to a lack of beds. The Washington Hospital
does not want to see that situation in our community. Without this expansion,
it might.
How Can I Learn More?
To learn more, please read about the expansion project and its progress, our
leadership or please consider helping us reach that goal by contributing to the campaign.
